I was recently made aware that HNP is no longer included with new TiVo’s purchased in NZ, and Telecom NZ have chosen not to sell it separately (don’t know the reason).
Hybrid have been unable to help with this problem as Telecom are currently the sole distributor and are in full control of all marketing till July.
Rumour has it that once the sole distribution agreement finishes, HNP should become available to purchase separately.
Hope this is of some help for those of you that are stuck.
Peter.

Well my trusty old PACE sky STB box fried last night, after about 10 years of faithful service.
(Pace DSR600).
According to sky, stream11 isnt processing properly, whatever that is.
So, my question is, when the technician turns up tomorrow, and I presume he will replace the
box, what new sky stb boxes are compatible with philips tivo S1?
By this I mean, that the tivo can control channel change with IR?
Is there a box I should try and get from him, or one I should avoid?
Cheers,
Mike.

I’ve had a quick hunt around on nztivo and oztivo, and cant find an answer
to this.
Ive been putting up with interlace artifacts on my lcd tv (from tivo) since I got it a couple of years
back, my philips LCD doesnt deal with interlace very well. (svideo input from tivo).
Does anyone know if the series 1 tivo (Philips) can output progressive scan?
If not, does anyone run a hardware scaler?
(I finally put my tivo into 720×576 mode at least, and upped the bitrate, this removes
macroblocks, should have done this years ago – had this tivo for 7 years!)
Cheers,
Mike.

I was having a few issues getting guide data. Finally thought my problem had something to do with networking – and decided to set my Series 1 NZTIVO to DHCP. [I had been happily running on static for around 4 years]
went for reboot – and now I am stuck on the splash screen saying "Almost There. Just a few minutes more" Well it’s been "almost there’ for several hours.
I tried disconnecting my network cable – no joy.
I tried removing my turbonet card – no joy.
I am guessing if I could just mount it and edit a file or two – it would work again…
At this point – I am seriously thinking I will need to drop a new image onto it and start again.
It is a Series 1 Phillips with Turbonet card running nzTIVO based on OZTIVO v 1.5
Ideas anybody?
